Three times is a charm i think to myself as i blatantly smirk around the room. First two times i opened up my eyes getting ready to wake up, some thought of the last recurring dream sucked me right back into sleep. When was the last time i jumped out of the bed with butterflies in my chest and total freedom from the dreams i just got out from?
Three times is a charm, i repeat to myself, as i put my left leg onto the ground. Then the right leg follows. I slowly jump out of the bed immitating my vision of the last time it occured. As i stand up, my emotions start to come back rapidly as i feel my self aiming for new goals. My mind speaks positivity, that today will be a great day, you just gotta let go and move forward. I choose to listen to my personal motivator as it craves for a black tea or a cup of dark, strong coffee. Anything bitter, please!
This is one of the many mornings and i believe that you have even more beginnings to share. Every morning is a start of something new. Going to sleep is the end of a day’s long story. The time you spend sleeping is used for digesting the material of your day long story. Sleep prepares your mind for the awakening and the new story. You would not be wrong saying that we die every time before the dreams consume us. Sometimes death is a metaphor for something old to replace the new. The end is where we begin i thought to myself as i was finishing my humble breakfast.
Thinking about yesterday is a time spent not doing what is in front of you today. For the sake of the previous story, you sacrifice the present moment. At this moment i am thinking to myself – what are the things i want to do now instead. Because what if yesterday i was not good enough to myself, and because of that, it is hard to wake up. And if i will spend all day thinking about yesterday, tomorrow will be more harder to wake up. So i have decided to take matters into my control this time. I will stop the loop and start following the flow of life, because it has been telling me where to go all this time, through the feelings and motivation.
What makes today different – is the decision to go out of the loop. And there is no one’s fault, but yours, that you are in that loop. A while back you have decided to lay in bed just a little longer or eat a little extra food. Everything so little can have a butterfly effect if you repeat the same story over and over again. Your story can snowball into heaven or hell, and it all depends on your choices. You will not notice the change through one or ten cycles, but one month worth of 30 stories will tell you so much about the way you are heading.
Getting out of the loop can only occur through self reflection. For some people it takes many years to wake up to the fact, that you are your own story writer. You have the power every day to think of some goals and however hard it is, just push through at least one hour a day. At start it will be very hard, maybe pushy, but believe me, after two weeks of overcoming your body with your mind, you will learn to write your own story. It will get much easier and you will start feeling the flow of life. What looked very hard will seem so obvious. There will always be requirements for some effort, life is not easy. It is not easy for your own benefit, so you can learn to apply pressure and shape your body and mind. Learn to work the flow and achieve goals!
Easiest way to start the routine is to learn how to reprogram your attitude. Whenever you feel forced and continue forward through the feeling, you will gain tolerance to that pressure. That is why the easiest method of change is to start from yourself. Start with the body, get some simple exercise and generate some inner energy! Sports are applied methods of pressuring your body so it grows the next day you wake up. Every day is a new story – remember! Work your way up to your goals as you gain more and more mental substance. Deal with every day as a new beginning and you will see long term results without straining yourself thinking too much in the future. Stop chasing instant gratification – it is short term and you will crave for more very fast.
Three times is a charm – use it for your own mental boost. You have a training today and you don’t feel like doing it – three times is a charm. Start once, if you are tired, move on to more simple tasks – don’t let yourself hybernate too long. The second time do a few more exercises – any is better than none, always! Now you are really tired and it is okay, because you have done something today and tomorrow the count will start from zero. It works with everything. Writing articles, learning instruments, exercises, going out for a walk, even when work seems hard.
As i finish this article caffeine is now still, i allow myself to stand up from the computer and the day begins with one more point towards the persona i want to create. I do not promise that you will win every fight in the morning against yourself. Body is stubborn when you want to shape it as the mind wants. Also mind can be tricky sometimes and conspire with the body against you. It is perfectly fine, every successful person has been there.
“You lose some and win some as long as the outcome is income” – Drake, 2011 (Song: Over my dead body)
Do not lose your will if one battle is lost. Raise your morale with more goals, more plans to give yourself a reason to wake up. And then start the day from zero, build up the machine. Because one day is not worth the trouble of losing the war of many years. It is one more lesson to bear as we learn about ourselves and the flow of life.
